This show turned out to be more than we could have ever imagined it to be. I got the tickets for this show over the phone by calling from here in Australia the day the tickets went on sale, when the ticket agent said to me you have fifth row main floor I was stunned!! I had not been that close to the stage since seeing Garth here in Melbourne back in 1994, and my friend Chris has never been that close. This night was to go on and become one of the most memorable of the nine shows for us both, read on to find out how Garth did it.

BELLEAU WOOD.....

Tonight would be the night that Garth sang this song. As on previous nights during the encores he did his housekeeping, my friend Chris had her sign that simply said "Please Play Belleau Wood". The first time Chris and myself heard Garth sing this was way back in 1996 in Cincinnati, even before Sevens was released, we both loved the song instantly and at that time we had called it The German Soldier song as we had no name for it. Well Garth came out for Aint Goin Down and as he ran past Chris he gave her the thumbs up for the sign, it may have been upside down but Garth knew what it said.
